Steve Blevins Guitarist /Vocalist: was born in the Motor City Detroit, MI May 10 1965 during the time my father was in the Navy in Great Lakes. My family is based out of Stoney Creek and Jonesborough TN. I have lived most of my life in Jonesborough. Growing up in a family of musicians, I would be the only one out of many generations to play guitar on the other side of the road as they said in the movie crossroads. For many generations my family were bluegrass pickers. I went south madly about Blues and Rock Music, pretty much all of the 60's- 70s and 80's bands like Jimi Hendrix, I became a major SRV fan in 1983 I'm very much influenced by old Blues artist like Muddy Waters ,Freddie King ,Buddy Guy and what ever you hear on the satellite blues stations ..that's me! I love it and it is my passion.1987 I left the area In my first road band with Terry Baker "Former Passenger Member' Penn Edwards ,Vic Danger Simon " of Harry Belafonte ,Michael Shanker group and "Tyron Smith Revue Super T" working for East Coast Entertainment , Alan Diggs @ Atlanta Talent and SRO Productions. This started another style of music to enter my life that was called TOP-40 and crushed my dreams of being a Rock Star Metal master. From 89 to 94 I toured the east and gulf coast of the United States playing in all the club chain circuits like the famous chit-lin circuit that of the south. The Band's during this time were The Strangers , JJ-Star ,Mega Stars, Lover band, Cincinnati Blues All-stars and Sonny Mormon group on a sit in basis when ever I was in town and The Vision Band. 1994 I left the circuit and landed a house gig @ Hurricanes Surf Side Myrtle Beach playing originals and in a Jimi Hendrix Tribute called The Blue Flames. after one season I returned to Jonesborough and now Guitarist for the Delta Playboys.
